Welcome to the Reunion Page for the Clayton High School Class of 1976. The "Spirit of '76" lives on as we remember our past while celebrating our present. These pages will help us reconnect,.

Well, it was a sparse crowd, it was, but VERY SPIRITED NONETHELESS!!! After the 30th, so many folks were so pumped about how much fun they had that it was decided we would try having a 35th! Even folks that couldn’t make the 30th but saw the pictures and the faces and the fun wanted to make the 35th!?! Turns out that LIFE kind of intervened and caused many, many, many cancellations! One thing I did realize, after getting over the disappointment of so little a turnout, was that no matter how many or how few show up, THE CLASS OF ’76 FREAKIN’ ROCKS!!! We didn’t get any pictures from the Friday night at Kruegers which is unfortunate, because Greg & Linda (Benwell) Abell were there, along with Todd Goodman, John Scharff, Bill & Dana (Jacobs) Devereux, Hugh & Joanie (Stewart) Thompson, Dave Wall, John Martin (Cathy’s brother), Chip DeWitt, Susan (Weiskopf) Monroe & hubby Dave Herberg…am I forgetting anybody? At the 30th, it was like a press conference with so many cameras! At the 35th, not so much! A very special thanks to EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED! You made it all worthwhile, AND THEN SOME!

A few words to those who either were unable to make it, OR ARE STILL LEERY OF ATTENDING…SEE YOU AT THE 40th! It’s going to be FABULOUS! I’ve spoken to a bunch of folks who haven’t been since the 10th reunion, and for those who fall into that category, THINGS HAVE CHANGED BIG TIME SINCE THEN! Please give the 40th a chance! Don’t know when we will have it, or where, but it doesn’t really matter because no matter where we ‘76ers land, there is something special in the air! At least that’s been my experience the last few reunions! Having this one around Homecoming was pretty cool, because there were other classes represented at Alumni functions and, as Betsy Rosenblum can attest, there were new Greyhounds lured in, rockin the orange & blue!

We are not getting any younger, but our spirit is stronger than ever! The Spirit of ’76 gets better with age I guess! So, COME ON WIT IT for the 40th! I freakin dare ya! (Sorry Ed, AND MR. HOGAN!), the “spirit” moved me!

Best regards!

Rick Tibbles

If any classmates would like to share their own photos from the events, please e-mail them to BeaSStMaster@gmail.com and they'll be added to the albums. This site will remain up and active long after the reunion has come and gone.

Special thanks to Rick Tibbles who once again, has stepped up and planned this event. (possibly because no one else volunteered)
